Talbot Family: Our trip to Idaho ...

We drove out to Idaho for Christmas. We decided to drive at night and left about 8:30 at night and arrived in Preston about 7:30 the next morning. The drive went very well and the kids slept almost the entire time. Of course I got to do all the driving but Jamie was good at keeping me awake, she only fell asleep a few times. I really enjoyed the drive and the peace and quiet was very nice. Jamie's parents thought we were leaving in the morning so we called them and surprised them when we pulled into the driveway. We called Jim and said to look outside for a package that had been delivered. Jim opened the door, saw a Christmas package that had been delivered by someone else and shut the door. Jamie then had Jim take a closer look at the white van in the driveway and let him know we were there. During the trip Jamie's mom reserved a cabin in Cub River that the entire family stayed at for a few days. The kids had games to play and everyone had a good time. We were also able to go to Ogden to see my family. The only bad thing about the trip was that Jamie got sick with the flu and gave it to half the town of Preston. Our family was sick the week before but Jamie fought off the sickness until she made it to Idaho. (Sorry Jim, Bonnie, Jared, Heather, Taegan, Chad, Colleen, Saxton, Kaisyln, Brittyn, and Heather's in-laws, and anyone else that got sick that I forgot to mention.) That Pueblo crud is nasty! The kids loved to see Grandma and Grandpa and all the aunts, uncles and cousins. The kids also had a really fun time at Aunt Lola's and Uncle Chad's. Halle was rubbed the wrong way sharing Grandma and Aunt Heather and Mom with everyone else. Uncle Chad and John were great at trying to make friends but she just likes the girls. Hopefully next time she will do better and everyone won't have to watch her throw fits. She is doing better here at home, she just really likes to try and get the attention with everyone around. We can't wait to see everyone again next time we visit.
